| The one living and true God - The all-powerful, all-knowing, supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. Though only one God exist, He has three distinct but harmonious persons. The creator who directs and sent forth the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God who came to Earth to save it, who was both fully man and fully God. Sent by the Father to convict the world of sin, He dwells in every Christian as a comforter, teacher, and guide. Old and New Testaments, the inspired Word of God. Jesus' birth was a miracle in which he his mother Mary was a virgin. Sin is either completely disobeying God or missing the mark of what He requires of us. Although the bible documents Jesus being tempted by Satan, he didn't us did not sin. Jesus died on the cross, a willing sacrifice as atonement for our sins. Three days after His death, Jesus arose again. All people are sinners living under the sentence of death - but that Jesus offers up the hope of being saved. Denominations are divisions, yet there is but one Church made up of all believers. The Ministry of Jesus Christ, this may take many forms, styles, and types - yet it's still all about Jesus. The eternal destination of Christians, assessable only through Christ Jesus. The destination of those who do not accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. |
