| Cathy Morris: Vocals Cathy brought a high female backup voice on "Open Road" and even took the lead on "Our Shepherd." Cathy is Roger's wife and she was the one that came up with the band name "Mirror Image." |
| The origins of Mirror Image can be traced back to 1997 when Matt Merchant was first introduced to Roger Morris. The following year, Matt moved to Huntsville and over the next 3 years he and Roger played in various church events such as leading music for Wednesday Night Bible Study. During this time they developed songs and a unique sound and formed Mirror Image in the Summer of 2001. In January 2002, the band recorded a Demo CD at 4th Creation Studio in Conroe, Texas followed by the first of several indie releases starting in 2004. Mirror Image has found modest success in the UK and continues to record new music, although rarely playing live. Music is one of the most powerful tools available for teaching and has been used for centuries to convey ideas, historical events, and to encourage and challenge people. There are some who believe that Christian Music should only be about Praise and Worship - and to them we respectively disagree. Mirror Image presents songs having allegorical messages that highlight life's trials and tribulations. So often people people alone in the situations they face, wondering if any others can relate. It is the band's earnest desire to impart the fact that they are not the only ones to face a situation. |
